About Us

our story
The American Revival Project was born out of a desire to stir revival in Americans and their families and to see the nation return to its foundations of common sense, honoring God, and preserving freedom.
Scott and Sharayah Colter co-founded Colter & Co. Faith as the non-profit arm of their communications and marketing business, Colter & Co. The goal is for this ministry avenue is to help people return to the basics of what it means to follow Christ and what it means to be an American.

Dr. Scott Colter
Empower
Growth
Z. Scott Colter is a leader defined by conviction and driven by calling. He recognizes that a nation rises on the strength of its faith, its families, and its freedoms — a belief that led him to found and chair Colter & Co. Faith. Through it, he leads the American Revival Project, a national effort to revive faith, strengthen families, and preserve liberty for generations to come, calling Americans back to common sense and spiritual renewal. Scott is widely recognized for the clarity of his leadership and the depth of his commitment to conservative, biblical principles.
Holding a Ph.D. in practical theology, Dr. Colter has worked for more than a decade at the intersection of conservative, Christian values and public policy, gathering leaders, building institutions, and giving voice to a movement rooted in Scripture. He founded a national network of several thousand conservative, evangelical churches and leaders committed to biblical truth and cultural engagement. Earlier in his career, Scott carried that same resolve into higher education, serving as the chief of staff at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and the executive director of the Sandy Creek Foundation. Today, that work continues on the faculty of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, on the boards of several ministries and higher education organizations, and as a corporate chaplain, extending his ministry into the marketplace.
Scott stands, without apology, for the sanctity of life, the strength of family, and the freedom to live according to biblical values, believing that lasting change calls for more than political victories alone — it requires a return to common sense and spiritual renewal.
The Colters primarily reside in Dallas, Texas, with offices in Dallas and Washington, D.C.
